Under the seat subwoofer

Post by Darthwilky »

Looking for some ideas. My 2005 Baja did not come with the factory subwoofer. I also can not find any wiring to be able to plug a factory subwoofer in. What subwoofers have people used? I have a new double din and new speakers. Tweeters are not hooked up though.

As far as i have been able to determine. The factory sub uses a factory wiring harness that follows the trans tunnel on the drivers side (N.A.) and hooks into the stereo.

I think I've seen some new OEM ones kicking around online.

The OEM Subwoofer harness connects between the head unit and the plug to the radio. I assume you are talking factory double din HU? I picked up a couple oem subs with harness, if you are interested let me know.

I found the tweeter wiring inside the door panels, but when I plugged tweeters into them, they don't seem to work. Haven't investigated any further yet Dennis

I haven't heard of that before, maybe only certain HU's powered Tweeters?
