DIPSTICK

Post by harleyjohn45 »

I have been having trouble with my Baja Turbo showing enough oil on the dipstick. I put in the amount per the owners manual for at 4.2 quarts and it would not be full. Last night I was surfing and saw where the Turbo cars have are dual cams and need 4.8 quarts. I have not added the additional 19.2 ounces, but I believe that will top it off. I bought another dipstick and it was the same as the old one. Has anyone else found their owners manual to be wrong?

Are you draining and filling or changing the filter too?

Stop being OCD and measuring your oil by the 1/10ths. Buy a 5qt jug and top 'er off. You'll burn that much before you check it again anyway.

You are correct, from now on, it's 5 quarts. The vehicle has settled down and is running well. I plan on changing oil in both differentials in a week or so.
