BRAT jumpseats in a Baja

Post by Slopchoppy »

I’m going to rig up something to put my old BRAT jumpseats in my Baja. Anybody tried this and have any advice/lessons learned?

Just using the seats. No seatbelt or headrests. And want them to be easy to remove. Mostly for tailgating or fishing.

I recall seeing a post about a permanent install - I don't recall where, though.

For a removable install, maybe this post will help:

Thanks for the link. I built a rack for carrying kayaks or lumber. It goes in the receiver hitch and I use ratchet straps in the existing bed hooks to stabilize it. I wish I made it longer so I could use it with the tailgate down. That would give me room to carry bikes and camping gear too.

For the jump seat mount, i know I saw a post of someone else doing it before, not sure how they did it. I’m probably going to use the cross bar mounts molded into the bed liner. Build it out of pressure treated lumber. I’ll post pics when I get it done
