Subaru Withdrawal

Post by Allanon93 »

Finally got my Baja in for head gasket. Driving my wife's car for almost a week, it makes me realize how much I love my Baja. Anyone felt this way while their Baja was getting the head gasket replaced?

The Subaru shop I took mine to gave me an Outback loaner during the HG repair. It was OK but the Baja is better. At least it wasn't something truly horrifying, like maybe a Yaris.

Ya that is true, my wife's car is 06 Grand Prix, so not totally bad but compared to the Baja, it's crap. Torque steer like crazy, too stiff of shocks( you can feel every little bump in the road), and doesn't shift as effortlessly as the Baja.

Eh, depends on what else you're driving.

Mostly, driving the Subaru means it's raining, <40f, or shopping that won't fit in saddle bags. Family Trips usually involve the Prius, Firebird for fun, '70 Beetle for laughs, motorcycle for daily driving 9 or 10 months of the year, The Baja is "dads old truck" that gets driven when nothing else will do.
