Hello!
I'm not a stranger to Subaru cars. I've owned three STis, my wife has a 07 XT and today I joined the Baja club! I wanted something bigger but not suvish. Baja was my calling. I'll eventually get another STi though.
Anyways, I was wondering what the recommended oil is for these? I ran Rotella T6 5-40W on my STis, I'm planning on using it in my wife's XT. Subaru filters still the best to use?

This car has exactly the same engine as the Forester XT, which (except for a few of the bolt-ons - turbo, intercooler, intake mani, exhaust mani, uppipe, oil pan) is identical to the STi engine. Whatever you used there will work fine. I use Rotella T6 0w-40. Prefer the Subaru filters if you subscribe to that superstition (I do).

Thanks for the replies guys! I wasn't subscribed to the thread and didn't see your responses. I went with Rotella since I'm dropping that in my wifes XT.
Funny story, never been under an auto. Never been under an auto subaru. Drained tranny oil on the XT.
