Well, you're basically buying a 10-year-old new car. And you're paying close to the price when it was new too. Manual?

Basically new except all the soft goods are still 10 years old. Suspension bushings, strut seals, engine seals & gaskets, TIRES, etc. Check to see if ANY of the fluids have been changed, some of them can go bad sitting too. Things like brake caliper pins may have had the lube dry out, even the brakes can have issues if it goes without being driven for long periods (rotors rust, then get cleaned off, then rust, then get cleaned off. it lets the rust get deeper into the material).

Was the mileage put on then the car sat (or vice versa) or was it driven 2 miles to church every Sunday this whole time? Either can be bad. My grampas car was a dog, which I blame on him for not driving enough and never going over 5% throttle.

Is it nice? Undoubtedly. However I'd pay barely more than a nice condition example with more miles. Maybe 15k BUT that's personal choice not necessarily market value. Then again, you have to have multiple examples to really figure market value. There are quite a few nice turbo Bajas online for 10-12k with under 100k miles (or at least there were a few months ago). Not so many under 30k.
