Howdy all,
I am having a hard time finding my engine ID# (VIN?). It is likely because it has been retrofitted into a BobCat (skidsteer). The engine compartment is pretty tight and I cannot see the block from all angles too easily. All I know is that it is a Brat engine. It is running poorly and I need to get the year so I can find a manual with the timing specs.....
So if anybody can turn my head specifically where to look-thanks
FYI-when it was running well, it was a dirt/snow/stump moving BEAST
Brat engine ID?

Re: Brat engine ID?
Hello,
Try looking on the passenger side cylinder it should be stamped there. It's either an EA71 or EA81. If it came from a newer BRAT it's the EA-81, only the older ones had the EA-71.
