Re: Seeking suggestions from the experts

Sounds like you're realistic about the Baja. That's good. The west coast ones shouldn't have any or much rust. Mine is from Florida but ended up in Oregon where I bought it. Not a spec of rust on it.

Re: Mass Air Flow Sensor ‘05 Baja Non Turbo location on engine?

It has a MAP sensor on the non-turbo. The turbos have both a MAP and MAF, so I'd have to assume you were sold a turbo's maf. What was the exact code you got?

Re: Seeking suggestions from the experts

I don't think they are worth the money. I like mine a ton, but... My old outback was way more practical, cheaper and sat 1 more person.

I could haul longer things out of the elements with the outback. On road trips we could fit all of our things inside the trunk.

Re: Just bought an 03 Baja

Car-part.com, it's under "engine crade." Pick one from the west coast. Same part as 2000-04 legacy outback.

Re: Grille Interchangeability

I have an outback grill on my 03 Baja.

Guacamole why do you keep saying Gen 2 Legacy? My 92 Legacy SS is a gen one, what do you call the generation after that?

Re: 2006 a/c question

Most of the oil resides in the compressor. Guessing how much oil a system needs or has is just that, a guess. From experience too much oil is a bad thing.

Re: Sunroof issues

You guys just revealed another problem I have. My sun roof opens fine, but when I close it, it goes a few inches then stops, hit the switch again and it closes all the way. I'm still trying to find something that worked correctly on my Baja. John, that's a safety feature that all Subaru sunroofs ha...

Re: Viper X3 Performance Chip Tuner

You should buy it and do a before and after Dyno comparison! Or save money and find someone who has.

I think they are all BS.

Zubaja's talking about automatic transmissions. Your Manual transmission has one dipstick, and only one fluid type (gear oil, no ATF) for the transmission.

Could also mean you have shot motor mounts ;). The open side of the wrench clearly isn't working, as evidenced by the damage to the bolt.

Re: Stuck Banjo Bolt for Turbo

I think the issue is you don't have enough leverage. Have you tried the double wrench trick? You really want to get the closed end on there, at least to get the bolt started. doublewrenchtrick1370651515.jpg (the pic is showing the second wrench in "tighten" position, you'd need to flip it over to lo...

Where are you, and how far are you willing to travel? I see one or more pop up in Oregon, every couple of months.
