Re: Unknown part on rear view mirror

Mine came with factory windows tint in the back so my mirror has never dimmed, cars just can't put enough light in my car. Also my compass is only accurate 'you might be going this direction' level. The compass seems to work fine for a few days after calibrating then gets lazy. Just my 2c on the sit...

I would take the sidewalk off, it will make the design cleaner and make the baja not look like its floating in air

Re: Bucking issue cured with 89 octane?

Mine does the same thing after I fill up and sometimes when I am almost out of gas. I was told it is the fuel purge solenoid (or something like that) but you have to replace some line from the engine to the filler hose. We are going to take a look when I do my suspension hopefully soon and will let ...

Re: in cab latch and safety hood latch both failed and....

Oh man that sucks, these are supposed to have some sort of double latch to prevent this exact disaster. The same thing happened to my friend after he changed the oil on his RSX and he swears the hood was latched all the way when he finished. He wasn't so lucky though he hit a couple of cars the foun...

Re: 06 Baja - Airbag Fuse

Well I wouldn't remove the SRS fuse as it will also disable the seatbelt retractors which are a definate good thing in an accident. one option is to disconnect the gray connector under the passanger seat, this should just deactivate that airbag without messing up the system. Or what is done for rall...

Re: 06 Baja - Airbag Fuse

Do not pull the fuse you will be at all kinds of legal risks. Call the closest Subaru dealer and tell them you either need an airbag or a loaner and they will have to give you a loaner. Also, magiclly you will be the first person to get a replacement airbag when one comes in.

Do you think adding this into the mix would be too much for the steering components?

Re: Rear blinkers and hazards?

Try checking the hazard switch in the dash, I forgot to plug mine back in and remember the blinkers didn't work or work right.

Re: LED Gauge Cluster

The dash is the same you just pop out old lights and pop in new LED. Just rember that LED are directional so test lights before remounting everything. If the don't light up pop out, rotate and pop back in.

90% sure its an aftermarket alarm, the red wire is the antenna and the min/max is sensitivity.

I made some headway on this and I am hoping I can figure something out this weekend when I have more time. If it works I will post a guide... if not I will probably be drowning my tears in beer

Re: Bed Extender Locking Options

Interested! Perhaps you could even "sell" a kit! =) Mike Not sure there would be much to sell, what I am working on would basically be a solenoid tapped into the rear door security and push/pull the latch on the door. Now that it is warmer I took the back off my tailgate and discovered th...

Re: Lurching/Chugging Manual Transmission

Mine does similar, changing the fluids may help but the main problem is probably the resurfacing. From what I could find is these transmissions (and seemingly subaru in general) don't like resurfacing and especially the poor job most places do. Once I get some of the other things out of the way I am...

Re: thoughts?

I had something similar and checked the air filter and it was all clogged, after I replace it the problem mostly went away. Shortly after I got a code for bad o2 sensor and replaced it now no surging or rough idle and the o2 solved problem of low power between 1k and 2k rpm. May not be your problem ...
