Re: Woodgrain Trim?

The problem with just cutting a hole is that you heat it up and it stretches so to go down the curve at the top of the cupholder it will be uneven. Also, this will catch every time you put something in there and cause the whole piece to not last very long

Re: Woodgrain Trim?

I havent had much time but I wanted put put up something. Here is some pics of the console cover wrapped in black carbon fiber film. I will try and do the rest once I get some more film. I could also do a tutorial if you want but youtube has a million on vinyl wrapping. Panel removed before cleaning...

Re: Gas mileage drop

Check your coolant level, I bet you are loosing coolant because of a failing head gasket. coolant gets in messes up all the sensors and you end up with poor mileage.

Re: Putting a turbo in 2003 baja base model

I was told it would be cheaper to find a compatible turbocharged engine and swap the whole thing. Something about all the little differences between the turbo/non-turbo. But I am coming from have someone else do the whole thing. Either way you are looking at some serious cash (3-6k depending on who ...

Re: Woodgrain Trim?

Go to ebay and get one for a 2000 legacy or outback I got mine for like 25 shipped because I wanted another cup holder (the cup holder sucks btw). Or you can wrap it with vinyl either yourself or have a shop do it. It is really easy and I can make a guide if you want to go that route.

Re: Transmission Swaps and differentials.....

I would ask on nasioc.com because that is a much wider community and this is more of a general Subaru question.

Re: Gas tank not filling properly

Could get one of these and take a look, should be safe as I don't think they generate any heat:

Re: 03 NA Baja emissions codes

In my limited work with Subaru CED codes is if you think you fixed the problem, pull the negative battery terminal for 30 mins the drive around and see if everything is fine. Also if you have a bunch of codes a real good cleaning of the intake and then an ECU reset may be the solution.

Re: PCV location anyone?

Ya, that is where I thought it was. Turned out there is a pressed fitting for the pcv and the pcv was so stuck I was spinning the fitting and never making headway. I stuck a wrench on the fitting but still counld not get the pcv free and was afraid of snapping it in half. I am going to see how much ...

Re: Ac kicking on for no reason?

In my limited technical ability it sounds like a switch issue perhaps the insulation is off a wire somewhere and its shorting out. That happened to my backup lights once.

Re: What's Your VOTE Keep The 5 or upgrade to a 6 Speed

If I could have 6th gear I would love it. Sometimes I have to haul a small trailer and the gearing is fine for that but on the highway 5th is not high enough. That being said the kind of swap you are talking about is so far above my skill I could not beging to suggest which option is better.

Re: Dying Baja

So I have come to the painful conclusion that I got seriously ripped off when I bought my baja. The guy that I bought it from had tack welded angle iron and strips of sheet metal along the underside of my poor baja to cover up countless massive rust holes and then had the whole thing under coated t...
