Re: Any problems with your Baja????

Wow... that's bad. Maybe if you have any other problems, instead of paying a "professional" to do the work, wonder if other members from the Bay Area would volunteer to get together for a day or two of BBQ, drinks, sharing stories, and fixing your Baja. Not sure about others, but I definit...

Re: Who has a heated windshield?

That's unfortunate, but since the circuit is relatively simple, it should be possible to run wiring in parallel with the existing harnesses.

Re: What is the point of Stop & Turn Module?

The rear lights on the 02 Outback have separate bulbs for turn and stop, but the Baja uses the same bulbs for turn/stop. The module likely handles the logic for which should be on/off given the different scenarios (turning while braking, etc.).

Re: Who has a heated windshield?

I have the electric wiper blade deicer, but not sure how well it's supposed to work... Since I got my Baja, I've had better luck using the defogger with high heat, than the deicer itself. So, not sure if the benefit will justify the cost/labour of installing it yourself. Or are you referring to some...

Re: Very slow oil fill after oil change.

Hi, and welcome! Removing the oil filler neck itself should just be two bolts where the neck meets the head. From there, you can at least check if there's a blockage in the neck, or something obvious like that. filler_neck_bolts.jpg filler_neck_bolts2.jpg Otherwise, it might be one of the oil passag...

Re: Suspension

And the front... The photo isn't of the Bilstein front, but the size is the same. Got these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HS0H8P0/ for my 2002 Outback, which uses parts compatible with the Baja. The biggest thing I found with getting Gen 3 Legacy shocks/springs and putting them in the Baja or...

Re: Suspension

Legacy GT struts and springs would work. I got a set of used JDM Bilstein shocks and struts, which ended up making my Baja too low...scraped the ground when exiting my apartment driveway. Next need to try a combination of my two sets to see what works best.
