Re: I want to cheat on.... (pics included)
Cheat, I did that to mine already. Bought a 06 Ram 1500 in April. Need it to tow the 4 wheelers which are too much for the Baja now. My dad is now driving my Baja, I hardly ever get to drive it unless I take it to work to change the oil on it. Still drives great at 145,000 miles, and still looks gre...

Re: Should I replace Battery pre-emptively?
Just a quick note, my 03 Baja is still on the original battery, at 140,000 miles. I test it at work several times a year and every time I test it i passes just fine. It even survived below 0 temps this winter again. So I expect it will crap out at any time, being 7 years old now.

Disconnect the trailer harness. I had this happen to my old Cherokee years ago. I had dropped my mother off to do some shopping and was sitting in the Cherokee. It was not runnin, but I had my foot on the brake pedal. In the chrome bumper of the car ahead of me I could see the parking lites were on....

What are you trying to do, just add some 134, or check the system out? You need gauges to check system pressures, and both high side and low side gauges are recommended for that. As far as adding up some juice, not that hard. But I also work on this stuff all the time so it is no big deal to me. Mike

Thats neat Patti!! :D Hope the garage is big enough to fit a plane in!! I remember that Corvair engines powered airplanes, but I never saw a pic of a Subaru powered plane. Nice. Mike Mike There is an Eggenfellner (Subaru) powered aircraft just south and west of Neosho. After reading some of your po...

Could be. We try to do them at work at about 30,000 miles, by then they are usually crudded up. On a Dodge, it depends on how much PCV vapors get sucked into it just behind the throttle plate. That usually makes it pretty dirty at 30K.keith wrote: Never occured to me the throttle body might be dirty.

Dave, I know that on a Dodge, a bulb problem is only covered for 12/12,000 miles, after that, it is considered a wear item, like belts, brakes, etc., so I don't know if Suby would cover it. Prolly not, but doesn't hurt to ask them. I have replaced all the bulbs on my Baja, but right now I can't reme...
