Re: Fuel pump questions
An update...it appears the problem was operator error. At least it hasn't manifested itself since I changed my starting routine. I had tried to start the Baja the same way I started my last truck-which was to pump the pedal to push fuel into the carburetor via the accelerator pump and then hold the ...

Re: oil smell
My Baja has a grease burning smell which I attribute to left over grease from a bad seal on my right front axle. The axle was replaced but I still get he smell. I hope it burns off soon.
Not sure this helps since you said you are consuming oil.

I looked for a vacuum leak which another site said might be a problem and found the hose to the thing on the fu...

Fuel pump questions
Recent owner of a 2005 Baja. A couple of times it has not started. Then after a short delay it starts. It has started in between several times. I don't want to take it to the shop as it will work fine for them and I'll just get funny looks. I have started it with a starter fluid sprits in the intake...

Re: Da Sounds....
Moving from AL next month to Ranson, WV. I'll be running across 340 to visit my son and playing golf in the summer. The Baja is the perfect fit for my clubs. I made my own bed cover but would like to get a manufactured one with a lock.

Re: Highest miles on a Baja (so far!)?
Bought mine this year with 185k. Replaced the timing belt and the RF axle. Moving to WV and may need the AWD. Plan to keep it for several years.
