Re: Anybody swap in a 2018 WRX muffler?

Those things are pretty much as quiet as an NA muffler, so it's probably for the best you didn't install them.

Re: New Baja owner: wheels/tires size question

I'd read the reviews on the usual tire websites from purchasers before you buy. I bought some Sumitomo HTR A/S P02's and they handle great on freeway and on dirt roads. If I was going to do offroading, I would purchase some aggressive tires suitable for that, and have them on a spare set of wheels. ...

Re: Baja Turbo spark plug change; how awful is it?

It's not easy, but it's doable with the right tools. Bendy socket https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014ZXTTY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bendy ratchet (I use the gear wrench one, but it's $$$ right now) https://www.amazon.com/Crescent-CRW10-Ratchet-Polished-Handle/dp/B00EXX2JMW...

Re: Bed Extender

It's easy to install, I like the extra space it gives.

Each side has a strap that you have to adjust to stop the extender from bouncing. It's a minor thing, but I don't like that you have to readjust the straps each time you extend or retract the extender. Other than that I really like it.

Ben Staad wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 10:27 am Do studded tires detract from driving on snow?
I don't think so, my example above was on wet pavement and I would slide on that. People behind me said I was shooting sparks from them too. On sheets of ice, nothing's better than studs.

I have 04-06 Baja turbo springs on my 03. Works good without being too stiff.

Re: What makes Subarus good in snow?

I am against studded snow tires because, in my experience, the studs slide over wet pavement. They work really well on ice though, better than any studless tire I've had. So if you live at a ski lodge, they are great. I pickup/dropoff my kids every other weekend, and have to cross a mountain pass to...

Re: Baja 5-speed to 6-speed conversion?

After 2007, the 6mt's no longer contain a speedo gear for your ecu/gauge cluster. There are workarounds that cost money, but you could just avoid those issues by buying one that comes with a speedo gear. Dccd is mostly gimmick unless you rally. You could save a bit of money and get a Japanese 6mt wi...
