Re: WTB '03 Leather 2 tone 5 spd knob

After I was able to find a better picture of the knob, I realized it is not 2 tone, just appears that way due to camera flash. And the guys said 5 speed 2 tone does exist This is getting interesting; a quest for the Holy Grail! :) What is the two tone combo? I assume black/gray matching the seats.....

Re: WTB '03 Leather 2 tone 5 spd knob

I know of 2 guys that have seen them. I understand they were on the '03 base only this link has a picture of it but the number is for the black https://www.quirkparts.com/oem-parts/subaru-leather-shift-knob-m-t-35022ac030?origin=pla&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1qPwoaSN7QIVS0KGCh2Bdw4YEAQYAiABEgIlufD_BwE ...

You can use the switch bank from similar era Nissan that is a direct replacement which includes the auto up/down on both front windows. See YouTube link below with instructions and part numbers...

I know you said two-tone, was that unique to the early models? The online parts houses still show the leather one linked below, but it doesn't look two-tone to me...

Re: Disabling Daytime Running Lights

It depends on which type of headlight you have. If you have the headlight with separate high and low beams (Turbo), it appears that you can just unplug a white connector from near the steering column and leave it disconnected. If you have the headlights that use a single bulb for both high and low (...

I don't think you'll have any issues there; bed covers and toppers always seem to get lots of responses in the FS section.

Re: Oem bed cover removal

Thanks to both of you for this thread! When I bought my Baja from the original owner it had all of the holes drilled that were shown in the installation instructions, but I didn't know what they were for. I, obviously, didn't receive the OEM cover and was guessing that maybe they were for a topper. ...

Re: Have you replaced the drivers' side seat bottom cushion?

If you take a look at this diagram, I think it does a better job of trying to show what Subaru is talking about. You can see that 64140 is denoting the seat cover and 64120 is specifying the seat cushion. They must have realized this was confusing, as a seat cushion search on newer models actually s...

Re: Bigger rear sway bar

...control on gravel/dirt country road routes blows chunks. This was my experience when I upgraded the rear bar on my SH Forester to one from a WRX. Dry handling was noticeably better, but it was enough change that it would start to come around pretty easily on gravel. Unfortunately, the stability ...

Re: WTB: Gas door cover, interior light lense and bed cap

Gas door plastic cover in Atlantic Blue pearl paint code 33A Unpainted fuel doors (#57620AE00A) are still available through Subaru, about $35 through the online parts dealerships. I gave up trying to find a painted one earlier this year for my '05, but mine is the darker blue. I bought the unpainte...

Re: 2" Spacers

Sorry for the multiple posts. I just wanted to note that the rear wheels are a little more forward in the rear wheel well. Not sure if that is normal or not but that is what I got. I think that is SOP. My stock '05 has about 1" of clearance to the front of the rear wheel well and about 1.75&qu...

Re: Replacement Seat - Cipher Auto

When I looked at the Baja seat rails (last photo here fyr), they are integrated into the seat about 9 different ways. There's no way that I could see to pull them off and be able to put the seats back on the Baja later (in case I want to have the originals re-upholstered). From your photos it looks...

Yes, has to have amber turn signals. (lived in Japan for 16.5 years) most american cars over there that are brought in are modified to have amber lights and some times fender turn signals. I wondered, thanks! I always though this would have been a much more logical setup for the rear lighting on th...
