Re: Pushbar and side bar options

I just picked up a used Tacoma bar with NEW hardware for $30 yesterday. Did you have to cut/trim the bottom of the bumper cover? I’m buying/testing a few hardy home wooden deck metal plates from Lowes to see if the are better than included mounting brackets at positioning the bull bar without modifi...

Re: Bigger rear sway bar

I used Whiteline BSR12XZ & KLC139 - These bolt on just fine. Combine with 8.5” wide rubber and it’s glorious. There is a very noticeable difference between the modded suspension and my stock Baja. Tire wear increased for some reason. (Most likely driver enthusiasm in the cornering.) Do those en...

Re: Front Rotor 2020 Choices

Yeah - it took me a while to find what u wrote. I’m not a mechanic - my last (& first) brake job - rear rotors on my MINI where I did clean & lube calipers - took me 3 months - MINI has these stupid rotor screws which are almost impossible to get out & then “torn caliper boot” , then try...

Re: Front Rotor 2020 Choices

Ive never heard of rotors warping from sitting. I would check the caliper slides and pistons. I have always found those issues from my Subarus sitting for long periods. Well you were right - not warped. Found a “do 10 X 60-20 mph hard stops to “clean” front rotors” thread somewhere - and it worked....

Re: Front Rotor 2020 Choices

Good point - I does seem illogical. Driving slowly at 5 mph there is a barely audible scraping sound from passenger front...brakes shudder when breaking from 65 mph on hwy (not in town at 30-40). I did spray rotors with brake cleaner & wiped the rotors with clean cloth before first drive with ne...

Front Rotor 2020 Choices

I’ve searched thoroughly, including NASIOC interchangeability and see that MULTIPLE Subaru front rotors with different part numbers will work. Source Subaru has WRX fronts (that will fit, NASIOC) for $53/rotor + shipping ($73 for Baja fronts - different part #). I had Powerstop drilled/slotted insta...

Re: Pushbar and side bar options

Looks great! (out of stock at $141 now). And the mounting points already on the bar would work with the two solid holes I identified! Which mounting points - and how many - did you use?Image

Re: Anybody swap in a 2018 WRX muffler?

I like quiet & powerful...not sure if the dual pipe/WRX muffler option would have added anything (unless we just sum the diameters of the WRX muffler in-pipes and compare that to diameter of Magnaflow in-pipe).

Re: Anybody swap in a 2018 WRX muffler?

Custom muffler guy was not interested in doing the dual pipe work for me (cuz I’m a gringo I’m sure [emoji2959][emoji2959][emoji2959] #mierda) so he just put on a Magnaflow (like last time I guess) with short run of replacement pipe for $250. So going to sell these beautiful works of art: 2018, 35k,...

Re: Pushbar and side bar options

So our Baja SOLID attachment points under the car are 40.75” apart (outside of bolt holes). They are oriented “forwards” towards the front of the car so that bolts into the bull bar attachment would be at right angles to the wheels. I’m assuming that washers/spacers or mounting inside the bolt holds...

Re: Pushbar and side bar options

Here’s an application guide (has Tacoma - and bars for other makes same size) for bull/push bars for all autos - basic dimensions (not actual attachment locations - maybe you can click thru to install instructions ): http://ranchhand.com/images/Master-Application-Guide-9-6-16.pdf I’m assuming there ...
