I have a 06 NA with 230K in excellent shape, and Dennis is correct I would only start @ 8,000 and I wouldn't sell for much less than 12.

The dipstick has a notch above the upper level.
Just after driving or while the engine is warm, the engine
oil level reading may be in a range between the
upper level and the notch mark. This is caused by thermal
expansion of the engine oil.

I tried that but my clutch was too wore.
I ended up buying a used compressor from an Online Junkyard for about 130.00 and swapped the clutch out of it into my compressor minus the 1 shim.
Haven't had problem since.
Just saying in case removing shim doesn't work.
