Re: Turbo help
-A used turbo off another Baja turbo is a direct swap and fairly easy, the oil drain hose is the biggest pain of the whole process. I am sure the one from the Forrester XT is compatible, I don't know much about Outbacks. -I would suggest replacing the AVCS/ turbo oil hardline with a AN style flexibl...

Re: Let's play "Name That Sensor"
I pitched mine. I know you want to get a baseline but the TGV delete process is settled science both in performance gains and making the problem go away forever with no downside. TGV delete and get back on the road.

Re: Turbo help
I have a factory turbo I will sell you for $250 shipped, I replaced it with a bigger turbo. To answer your question of confirming it what are they saying is wrong? Bearing seized, too much shaft play, wastegate stuck etc? What are you seeing, loss of power, smoke, etc? If the turbo is bad then repla...

Re: Baja Raptor 2.0
You summed up our truck very well, and that is why Subarus are so cool, they are like lego blocks, just snap together what you want from 40 years of parts!

Re: New Baja owner with a list of questions
1. Mine was style A, I have a 2004 2. Correct 3. You could abandon, or remove the intake manifold, or do what I did and exploit the reason we are changing the line out. When you flex metal enough it work hardens and then breaks, you can get that last bit out that runs under the manifold with allot o...

Re: Newbie here.. Just a couple questions.
Subarus are very user friendly on maintenance, a great brand to learn on. Pics would help confirm I am pointing you at the right filter, but the round external one spins on and off like an engine oil filter. Mine was pretty tight as well. And that pitch rod, it looks like a dog's bone and connects t...

Re: Newbie here.. Just a couple questions.
Opinions vary on that filter, I consider is part of my annual service, regardless of how many or how few miles every year I change engine oil/filter, trans oil/ filter, diff fluids, brake fluid, and coolant. I do that on every car i own but obviously more frequent oil changes on my daily driver. It ...

Re: Newbie here.. Just a couple questions.
I wouldn't go right for a compression issue, if you had a head gasket issue that bad you would have some big issues like overheating, fluids mixing and it would likely look like an oversized vape going down the road. You can confirm compression as well as ring and valve health with a compression and...

Re: Let's play "Name That Sensor"
OR, do the TGV delete and scrap that whole system, gain about 7~8 HP/TQ and better throttle response. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1741045 I did the TGV delete as a part of all the mods I did, took an afternoon and you will need to have a tuner turn off the code or do it yourself...

Re: Baja 101 Noobs to Pros
Exactly, and that was the reason I didn't buy one! I was stoked when they showed it off with dual range and a supercharged EJ25 as well as the other stuff. When they launched it with all that removed I passed. It wasn't until Brats moved into the garage kept, driven only on perfect sunny days catego...

Re: New Baja owner with a list of questions
http://www.iagperformance.com/IAG-OEM-Location-Turbo-Oil-Feed-AVCS-Line-WRX-STI-p/iag-eng-2070.htm The truck, including the engine is very solid and jaw dropping in performance capability, faults are few and cheap to fix. The two I always suggest are that oil line kit and the wet loop hose for the P...
