Cool, thanks for the reply, I may give them a try. I think I used that switch style on my Jeep, but I cut the hole to fit...
If I cut the tabs off the switch, will it still fit snug and not jiggle around?
Peace!

Baja OEM switch options
Hey all, Looking to add a few additional "bling" lights to my ride, but want to keep the switches looking oem. My plan is to replace the 1-switch cubby in the lower center stack (where the sport lamp switch is) with the jdm 3-switch cubby to gain 2 extra spots. My question is: Does anyone ...

Re: Front Strut Options
Hey there, I'll throw in my $.02 and confirm that the '03 is the only outlier. I upgraded all 4 corners on my '03 classic a few years back to the 04-06 parts (springs and struts) to get the extra 1" ride height. Only the 03 part numbers were different than the 04-06. Installed them without issu...

Re: Let's Play Spot The Difference!
Lol, Nice! I missed the hitch and the boat (was focussing on the car), but did get the others. Even the Bonus silver tint change! I found one mistake though. It seems the pictures do NOT show the 1" taller ride height of the 04 vs the lower 03... Hows THAT for being a Subie-nerd?? :D Peace! Scott

Re: Sport activity light question(s)
Hey all, Thanks for the good info. After seeing the pics, I've determined that these OEM lights are totally the same as the Hella 500s. The housings and brackets painted up real nice and other than the cloudiness in the lens, they look brand new again. I've got an idea on how to clean the fog out of...

Sport activity light question(s)
Hey all, 1) Anyone know what Hella model/series # the upper sport activity lights are? I'm finishing up a mini restoration of my ride and am painting the original lights. I want to get new light covers for them. Unfortunately The OEM covers were brittle and broke when I gently tried taking them off....

Re: Steering Wheel Swap
Nice job! Definitely gives it an updated look... Say, how do you unplug that airbag connector? I have the same yellow connector with green safety on my '03, but it does not want to budge. I'm assuming I have tried to slide the green piece to the passenger side while pushing the yellow release tab? I...

Re: Clips for Rear License Plate Trim
Wow, believe it or not, just yesterday I started reassembling this entire bracket. I had removed the entire assembly, soaked it in an electrolysis tank for a day (to zap away the rust), cleaned and painted it too. It is definitely an interesting part! When disassembling it, I too broke one of the cl...

License plate garnish?
Hey all, Looking to get a hold of the trim piece that goes just above the rear license plate and below the tailgate handle. Anyone have an extra laying around? Color does not matter. Text me at 302-345-9371 if anyone does. I busted a clip removing my original. New ones are over $40. May glue origina...

Re: Few stock parts from my 03
Hey there,
What condition are the off road lights? Are they cloudy, and do you still have the covers too? I have a set installed already, but it might be cool to have 4 up there!
Peace!
Scott

Re: Spare Tire Bed Mount
Hey there, I've never heard/seen one with a bed mounted spare, although it sounds like a cool idea. I've currently got my Baja in my garage the last few months working on fixing and restoring the last few years of daily driving. While tackling the rust around the sides and rear, I decided to remove ...

Re: Strut Spacer Experiences?
1" strut spacers are not that hard to install. A lift is not needed at all. A jack and stands will suffice. No other mods to the suspension are needed (or any other part of the vehicle). If you have the knowledge and can remove a strut, you can tackle the job. The hardest part is lining up the ...

Re: tonneau cover for the baja
Hey Bob, I did look at that area late last week, but no pic yet... It looks like that particular hole is a threaded hole used as 1 of 3 to attach the lower roll bar bracket to the body. My guess would be that since it is hidden behind by the plastic liner, you cut a hole, get a longer bolt and use t...
