AVS Sunroof Deflector

Post by BahaRishi Steve »

I was looking at installing the oe deflector on my Baja, but the dealer wanted $68 for it, although I've seen it go for less online. I decided to go with the cheaper alternative and install the AVS generic deflector, since it was only $39 at Pep Boys. The closest fit I found was the 32.5" model, and it was VERY close. This was the closest fit I found out of Pep Boys selection, which was 32.5/34.5/36.5". They may offer one less than 32.5" that may be a closer fit, but the 32.5" seems fine. Definately cuts the wind noise down considerably, and I think it looks fine. Anyone else installed the AVS?

Took a few pics while up flyfishing this afternoon after work.

Install is just a matter of prepping the area with the supplied alcohol pads and then aligning the deflector and placing it to your liking. It uses the 3M adhesive strips to hold it in place. For some reason, the AVS logo is upside down when looking at it from the front....wierd.
