I think you're talking about the ESX Baja, which also has something to do with SOA's Western Region.....But that's about all I know....and it was at SEMA...

Scroll down for a little blurb about it. At least now I know the connection to SOA....Too bad I can't find even a sentance about it on the western region's site (http://www.subaruwest.com/index.htm)...

Blurb from Sema, Presentation by:Robert LaBossiere, Vice President Parts, Subaru of AmericaAli Afshar:

"If 950 horses is more than you need to get to your local grocery store or drop off the kids at the soccer field, you may be interested in the Easy Street prepared Baja Turbo. That is the gray vehicle right over there… This vehicle is more streetable at only 500 horsepower. You can pick up your mulch at the nursery and be back home in record time. We have been working with one of our accessory development partners, Duracon, on a hrad bed cover for the Baja and a prototype should be available very soon. You can check out the lockable, hard bed cover at the Duracon booth which is on the upper level of the South Hall at booth number 31345" (full article here: http://www.subdriven.com/news/publish/F ... _279.shtml

Old thread on NAISOC:

A better old NAISOC thread (apparently ESX is a NAISOC vendor, so I hate to say it, but you might want to to post there to get more info, since someone from the builder posts there!):

Yet another old NAISOC thread, mostly about a differnet baja, but interesting none the less, I've been contemplating painting the silver interior parts yellow, I might rethink it now, it doesn't seem to flow to me:
