Power Steering Pump Replacement
The power steering pump is going out on my 2006 turbo Baja. Everything I can find is saying the part is discontinued and none of the aftermarket parts seem to have the right geometry. The parts interchange also seems to indicate this pump is a unicorn and only used on the turbo models of the baja. Does anybody know of other models of Subaru where this particular pump was used so I can start looking in the junkyards? What about retrofitting a different pump? The alternator belt tensioning mechanism is part of the ps pump bracket so I don't know if that will work. If anybody has some insight on this it would be appreciated.

Re: Power Steering Pump Replacement
Looks like you can still buy remanufactured ones
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/sub ... +pump,7380
https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/b/ma ... baja?pos=0
It should be the same part on the 03-08 Forester XTs though.

Re: Power Steering Pump Replacement
I have a 2006 Turbo Baja. I replaced the power steering pump with a factory one from Subaru in late 2019 early 2020. From the looks of it, it is the same unit used for many Subarus of the same generation.
