On a side note......I currently have a multitude of friends, located in the magical land of Japan, on the hunt for a S401 or Legacy C-west hood scoop for the Baja.

They are really close to being the same as far as looks and size goes but at this point I will settle for either.
on another note, these just came in the mail yesterday
and some legacy suspension will be picked up Sunday....let the fun begin

Ooooooo...!
Where'd you find those? I was looking for projectors earlier, but couldn't find anything that fits.

Found these used on nasioc. For some reason the guy hadn't sold them yet so I jumped all over it of course.anarchy1024 wrote:Ooooooo...!

They were custom done but I do know someone that can make another set if you want one.anarchy1024 wrote:Any idea where they came from? Or are they custom-made?

If the price is right, I would love a set. Or do you know if there's a DIY kit?RuhRoh wrote:They were custom done but I do know someone that can make another set if you want one.

Go to the "Subaru Baja Owners" group on facebook and look up Shaun Lynn. He does headlight work and retrofits.anarchy1024 wrote:If the price is right, I would love a set. Or do you know if there's a DIY kit?
Off hand I don't 100% know of a DIY kit but you maybe could get a DIY kit through Lightwerkz

Re: RuhRoh's daily EJmino
Well I would say the weekend was fairly productive. Our local Subaru club was being treated to a dyno day by one of our sponsoring shops. Well since the WRX is inoperable right now I decided to take the Baja and see how kind the years have treated the motor.
2006 Baja (all stock aside from a K&N drop in filter) put down a peppy 179 AWHP/ 207 AWTQ on it's third pull with 115K on the clock. I will get a picture of the chart eventually to post on here.
I also acquired a set of legacy suspension (rears are Bilstein, fronts are not but it don't hurt my feelings)

Well, even though I'm in the process of pulling the intake manifold to find and fix an oil leak I took the time to at least test fix the scoop and get some comparison shots before it gets painted to match. So totally stoked about this scoop and how it changes the looks of the Baja.

Welcome back!
Glad your hunt paid off! Looks wayyyy better than the stock "scoop".

Thanks.... I totally agree. It's just aggressive enough to not be aggressive (if that makes sense).
However, this is my current situation... And this looks to be the source of the problem. From here.

I was under the hood today trying to find where I might have a leak from. I think I am in the same situation as you. Any idea what that elbow is for?
