Trailer wiring harness

Post by tiogaco »

The trailer wiring harness on my baja is all corroded and busted. This is on the car side, not on the trailer side.

I can see a connector that splits and gives me the end to hook up trailer lights and the other then which goes into the body and I think up into the rear taillight. It looks like I can pop off the rear external plastic trim and the rear taillight to access this.

Does this sound right? Part number for the replacement?

There is an access plug under the right rear for a "plug and play" trailer light system. It is capped from the factory. You remove the cap, plug in the harness (w/ module), secure the wires, and you are good to go. Dennis

Yup, that's the part that is messed up.

If you look up under there, you can see where that cable Ys goes up into I think the rear passenger tail lights.
