Identify a connector, please

Post by oldpro »

Today I replaced the battery on my '05. When I pulled the old battery up and out I saw an unused socket (2-conductor) on the wiring leading to the windshield washer pump.
Any idea what would plug into that?

I don't remember seeing an unused connector on mine...

Does the connector look like the windshield washer pump connector, but keyed differently? If so, maybe you have a wiring harness from an Outback/Legacy, and that connector could be for the rear window washer pump.

It's unused.

Subaru just used the same harness for the Baja in that area as they did in the Outback.

The same symptom is in Outback Sedans.

It's for a rear sprayer motor but since the Baja doesn't have it they just have it floating around.
