I'm still working on finalizing parts to replace my shot 2005 Baja AT Turbo front/rear struts/coils (I want to lower 1" by using 2003 Outback OE coils)...
Struts:
Rockauto is showing the same part numbers for KYB Excel-Gs for the 2003 Outback H4 2.5 and the 2005 Baja H4 2.5 - they don't differentiate turbo or automatic.
My understanding is that the 2005 Baja strut is longer than the 2003 Outback strut- seems a bit strange that KYB uses the same part?
Coils Springs:
It seems the 2003 Outback H4 AUTOMATIC Transmission OE front left springs are no longer available (rear springs are the same for AT and Manual) - the manual transmission ones are available, so I will probably go with those as the "next best thing".
Any insights?
Are the stock 2003 Outback struts/shocks worth the extra $100-150 (for 4) over the KYBs (I am looking for firmer handling)?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
KYB Struts same part # for 2003 Outback & 2005 Baja
