While trying to loosen the bolts on the transmission cross-member to the drop the transmission, the blind nut (nut inside the body of the car) on the front-passenger side broke its welds before the bolt came out, so it was just spinning. Looks like the mechanic who replaced it last cross-threaded it... This appears to be a common problem:

And it looks like the most common solution is to cut a hole in the floor and peel back the metal to access the nut. Problem is, I couldn't find any pictures of where to cut, so I thought I'd post some pictures to help anyone else who might be in this situation. Not the best cutting job in the world by a long way, but it worked...
