Bed drain tubes

Post by oldpro »

Where do they terminate on the '05? The tops fill with pinon pine needles and stuff. It's tough for me to get down and under; when I have, I've looked around but can't find the bottom ends.

Looks like they drain out under the wheel wells. I couldn't see it when I crawled under, but looking between the rim spokes it looks like there's a ~1in diameter drain pipe seated right behind the rear struts. I'm assuming it's the same on all Baja models.

Thanks; knowing where to start looking will make it easier to find them!

I already have mine on jack stands... I can take a look when I get home from work tonight.

I used a piece of really stiff wire and managed to punch out part of the mud/gunk/crud blocking the right-hand tube. Hoo-ah; I could actually see the driveway below! :D
