Splash Guard ideas

Post by mark40 »

Greetings all, recent Baja owner here. Was very pleased to find a 2006 Sport, with 63,500 miles on it. Have been having fun adding accessories and really wanted the OEM splash guards. Was unsuccessful finding them in my color (Brilliant Silver) but found them in Obsidian Black Pearl. My original thought was to take them to the local body shop and have them painted in Brilliant Silver. My wife thought black would look good since so much trim is black, however the Obsidian Black Pearl is too glossy to match up with the muted/flatter tone.

Any ideas other than the body shop? I've seen a lot of creativity here on the board and wanted some do it yourself ideas from the group.

Thanks in advance, Mark

After reading thru some more threads, I like what Plastidip did for the grill of Wingzero_ac19

Here is the end result; sprayed the obsidian black pearl splash guards with plastidip and was pleased with the results. At some point may plastidip the grill like wing zero did.
