clicking

This morning when I stepped on the brake to start my baja I heard a click.It only happens when I stepped on the brake and when I let off the brake (In park). The click came from where my AT shifter is. . .it only happens in park. . .any ideas on what it is?

Safety interlock - designed to keep you from shifting out of park if you don't have your foot on the brake.

yes. . .thank you, it alarmed me at first. . .it is pretty noticeable. . .more so than . . .well, yesterday. . .however I did some research today and found it not to be uncommon. I am glad to hear it isn't anything uncommon. Thanks!
