I am actually having a problem making my mind up...I like the ozzbros cover a lot too. because of the prices I will more than likely go with them. It sounds like just a little drilling is involved..I guess I will see!

Kaeliomu,
You don't need to do any drilling if you get the alternative strike plate that you could purchase. I defintly didn't want to do any drilling.

Fuzzy,

Do you happen to know if the strikeplate comes with the Ozzbros bedcover kit??

Kaeliomu,

The Bar Strike Plate cost an extra $75.00, its worth it to me cause I really didn't want to drill any holes that wasn't needed. (It is for the Ozzbros bedcover kit.)

time to buy!!

...haven't heard much pros-cons from you all except cost so will be buying the SnugTop version as I like that it keeps our unique body line though doesn't store as much as the ARE version (may check ARE costs but I'm guessing more than the SnugTop).

Likes: SnugTop fiberglass top more secure (break-in proof), more weatherproof, more aero-dynamic than ARE (gas mileage?), color match to my awesome Obsidian Black Pearl, still removeable (easily "they say"), custom look - adds more value, more long-lasting looking, hydraulic lift bars.

Dislikes: extra cost, weight, more "wax on", looks like can't quickly store IN the back seat (like Ozzy's).

Am I missing anything???

Looks like I'm thinking about bed covers now. Does anybody have anything else to add about Ozzbros or SnugTop or ARE?

One thing with my snug top is the rubber seals are now starting to fail, both the rubber donuts around the bars as well as the rubber strip that covers the seam between the lid pieces. My local parts dealer is looking for replacements for me but hasn't had any luck yet.

I bought the top along with the 03 about a year and a half ago ( it was a dealer demo ). I would have to guess that it was from early in the production run.
