Baja driving position compared to 4x4 pickups

Post by AllTerrain »

approximately how high is the driving position in a Subaru Baja, compared to a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 or Nissan Frontier 4x4?

e.g. from the ground to the top of the seat bottom cushion

thanks in advance

I have no idea if any manufacturer uses that specific of a measurement, but they do use ground clearance. What model year are we talking for the Tacoma and Frontier for comparison?
FWIW, a stock 2003 Baja has ~7in ground clearance, and stock 2004-2006s have ~8in.

I think he is asking about how high the seat is off the floor. If so I know the seat is 1-2" lower the a forester (I have fozzy seats in mine) and look to be about 3-4" lower then my 85 toyota truck

The Baja is in no way comparable to a body on frame truck, even a compact one. Forward of the rear axle it's an Outback/Legacy. a CAR. It just happens to have a bed in back rather than a hatch or trunk.

To answer your question directly, it's MUCH lower than a Frontier or Tacoma. It's lower than older compact trucks as well such as the toyota pickups, S10, Ranger, etc as well.
