Snugtop tonneu cover lock

Post by terayon »

Hey guys,

Anyone ever have to replace the snugtop lock on their tonneu cover? I've reached out to snugtop and they are less than helpful... I've attached a pic if anyone has experience in this.

Thanks!Image

A good locksmith could probably re key it for you.

Yes, I just rebuilt a Snugtop for my Baja and I had to have the lock re-keyed. The lock portion comes out of the lid fairly easily with some disassembly, take it to your favorite locksmith and you should be good.

A locksmith can rekey it for you, possibly replace the cylinder. To replace the whole thing, an RV shop may be more helpful.
