Mystery box

Post by LoneStar »

Hello from NV! So I was disabling my DRL's under my dash on my 2004 baja and noticed a black box with a red dial you can move with a Phillips screw driver from min. To max. I want to say it's a brake controler but I have no set up in the back for towing. Also, there's a small plugin thats visible from the sitting position that has a reset button recessed inside of it. Any ideas?

No idea... haven't seen that before. Aftermarket alarm?
Any part or ID numbers on the box?

Is it for that box mounted at the edge? Radar detector? That would explain the min-max.

90% sure its an aftermarket alarm, the red wire is the antenna and the min/max is sensitivity.

Thays exactly what it is! Good job! I took it off to inspect the back the sure enough it's an alarm. Thanks for the help!
