Anyone have a thought as to what these might have been used for? I'm assuming by the instillation that they're certainly not factory. The sides aren't even lined up to each other. I'm going to see if I can get the cover off and remove them. Perhaps fill the holes with some kind of silicone then sand it down.. Any other thoughts on the best way to get rid of those holes once the protrusions are gone? I recent;y took my Snug Top off, and I'd hate for too much moisture to get in there.

Must have been for some homemade bed cover? Or even bed extender?

Not sure, because according to the carfax, the Snug Top was installed fairly soon after the car was purchased by the original owner. Maybe to mount some kinda container... who knows...?Must have been for some homemade bed cover? Or even bed extender?
I just want them gone.

I think I've seen that mount before with a tail gate mounted plastic toolbox

that's not part of a Snugtop installation. It uses existing holes and all railings bolt to the side of the bed. Nothing affixed to the tailgate.

That's what I'm leaning towards.. by the condition of the bed liner.. I'd say it was put to work.mikenmel08 wrote:I think I've seen that mount before with a tail gate mounted plastic toolbox
