Activity/sport light switch

Post by Rizzo »

Subarupartsforyou.com has access to the Switch and Bezel.

They have access to IIRC 18 switches and 11 Bezels.

Total with shipping was $82.51.

This is a great way to use the factory wiring harness and get a factory look for your lights you can buy else where like Amazon..

It is up to you to make sure you do NOT install lights that are of a higher volts or amps than the factory wiring was designed to handle. Things could either melt and cause a fire or shot and if that didn't happen the higher gauge wire may not deliver high enough voltage and your new lights will be dim.

Switch part and lamp part #'s

Here is the link they gave me.

When they're gone , they're gone!

Forever.

Would you mind taking a close up picture of the back of that switch?

If you push a tab on that blue piece it slides right out.

This seems to be just for alignment purposes to ensure correct connection to a specific plug.

I assume you can remove that and plug it into a different harness, Or use another switch in this harness via the same technique.

Don't know for certain.

That's what i was wondering also , i would like to use this switch but not with the factory wiring......Will have to do a little research... I think the blue thing is a lock to keep the connector from coming unplugged unintentionally...could be wrong though...anyways thanks for the pic

If I can't dig up a diagram, I can meter it out for you and find the circuit closed pins so you can just run power in and out for the switch function.

I don't exactly know how I'd go about testing or producing the ON light illumination circuit.

I bet this is the same...

Can you find out more about the Parking Brake switch connection?

I'd like to find out what to tie together so they work without the "One Click Cheat".
