Subaru letters

Post by sfeather11 » Thu May 10, 2012 6:50 pm

Hey there, anyone have any of the chrome "S-U-B-A-R-U" letters from their tailgate laying around? I'm trying to get hold of an extra "U" without buying an entire badge for $65 bucks at the dealer. I think the badge from a Forrester is the right size also...

Peace! [smilie=666.gif]

Next time I'm at the junkyard, I'll look for ya. Actually, I'll probably be down there tomorrow if this weather holds up... :)

No luck. Not one Baja or Forester in the whole stinkin' place.

Oh well, thanks for looking!

Say, I've always assumed the Forester badge is the same as the Baja, anyone know for sure if they are the same part #s? The rear name letter around the late 90s/early 2ks all look to be the same size/font/etc...

no way to tell, the parts catalog for the baja has all 3 as one part, but the forrester has the subaru part # separate.
Do you know if the subaru letters have any holes behind them. I want to finish debading mine, if so I'd be willing to sell.

Yes, the SUBARU badge on the tailgate has 2 holes in the sheet metal (I think they were behind the 1st U and the R. I know this for a fact because that badge was missing when I bought my baja a few years ago. I bought one soon after and installed it, but have no idea what the part # was...
