Damn I need to dig up the pics he sent me for the rear bumper but it is cool.

I just got the call the Baja front bumper is finished.

We just need to figure out how to ship it to me.

Then comes the comedy of me installing it.

I am really tempted to do a photo essay of my adventure.

Wish me luck.

Trust me the hard part is getting the stock bumper off. Once it is off it is REALLY EASY to just slide the new on where the original hooked up to.

Well John called and it is done! Just need to figure out the shipping. Then I have to get the damn thing on.

I guess i have to say goodbye to my fog lights. But hello offroad lights when I get some cash.

I saw this post a while ago and have been drooling about a rear bumper (the front's not for me). I finally called and spoke with John and he said although it has been a while since he has made one, he was still willing to produce them. He verbally quoted me $325 for the rear. Unfortunately he said he would likely need a baja available to make sure everything matches up (he did not write down measurements of the few he has built), and I live on the East coast while he is up in Oregon. Anyone up that way (snorkeled) interested in one??

O yeah I am interesten in getting one for sure. It will be a little bit before I have the time and money to get one though. I am thinking by late Aug or sept I will have it done. And I was going to ask John if he could install a WINCH for the rear bumper. .

If anybody in the Eugene, Oregon area can please reach Mudrat (a.k.a. John Bloom) and tell him to call me (Alex from the East Coast) about the bumper he is selling me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you, and I look forward to anybody's help.

I wish i could say yes and have it on my baja right now... but its going to have to wait a little while longer. My washing machine broke, so money has went in a different direction at this time :(

Hey snorkeled,
If and when you are able to have him make one for you, think you could ask him about a group buy? I'm sure there would be more than a few of us who would love to have that on our rear ends...

Oh and make sure he writes down the specs/dimensions so he can repeat the build! :D

Peace!
