112,000 so far.

Just replaced the brakes last night. These were the original brakes!
Yes - the pads have been into the wear indicators for the last week or so.
Yes - the rotors, while not grooved or warped, were pretty worn.

But still - 112,000 of the first set of brakes! [smilie=666.gif]

Probably within the next month or so I will go through and replace the timing belt, water pump, upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat and the drive and accessory belts.

I still think Subaru could bring back the "Inexpensive and Built to Stay That Way" slogon.

Just sold to my MIL my 03 Sport (I was second owner- had 50,000 when I bought it) She gets it with 101,000 miles- only stuff done to it- is a couple sets of tires, couple headlight bulbs, a taillight bulb, rear brakes (brake pads fell out on one side- very weird)- No other major repairs- oh I did weld the exhaust last summer where the CC meets the pipe had rotted out and I felt too cheap at the time to take it in so I grabbed the wire feed welder and had at it- 10,000 miles latter and its still holding!! Gosh I'm gonna miss it.
I always wanted a BRAT, I had a Baja (sold) Now I have an Outback

I have 143,900 miles on my 03 Baja Sport. I just replaced both head gaskets and exhaust manifold gaskets because I blew a head gasket on my way home and just decided to replace everything. But It's running awesome!!!! Mom bought it in Jul of 05 with 42,000 miles on it and gave it too me at 129,000 in Jul of 2008.

Very interesting stuff. I logged on to this forum to get some opinions on Bajas post-100,000 miles. I just hit 101,000 and my extended warranty expired about 5000 miles ago. I was thinking about looking into extending the warranty further but it sounds like the car has been pretty reliable for most above the 100,000 mile mark. I am the second owner on mine, it's an '03 that I purchased in 2006 with 19,000 miles on it.
I'd be interested in any additional opinions about warranties/ reliability of the Baja past 100,000 miles.

A few day before christmas it was over: at 136 kmiles my engine sounds bad, knocking noise while accelerating...
We found metal-chippings in the oil, so some crancshaft-bearings gave up :(
Now my Baja has a new shortblock...

136k now on my `04 Turbo auto. I'd say for the last 36k miles now I think the valve cover gaskets have started leaking. I thought it was the turbo but I know for sure it's the valve cover gaskets now. Got an appointment to get them replaced soon. It doesn't affect the mechanics of the vehicle, just make sure you don't go low on oil. And it makes it stiiiinky! [smilie=asa.gif]

104,250 miles on an '03, bought it just a couple of weeks ago with 103,300. Replacing the timing belt now as per manufacturer's PM schedule, also replacing all fluids, belts and hoses. I see no reason I can't get another 105K out of it before doing it all over again as long as the PM is kept up on it according to schedule. I paid $8999 if anyone is interested.
It's a nice little truck practically in showroom condition. Someone really took care of it and probably only traded it in to avoid the 105K mile timing belt change that I'm doing to it now.
This one is the Classic model with the leather seats, power seat on the driver's side, etc. Mine has the 5 speed manual. So far I've had to replace the dash lights and glue the rear-view mirror back up, that's it for unscheduled maintenance.
