While I'm waiting for spring up here in the great white north can someone recomend some good movies to watch? I have allready got Gone in 60 seconds and it's sequels (the originals from the 70's) as well as both versions of the Itialian Job and Bullit. What are some of your car chase flick picks?

Bob

driven with sly stallone is a good flick, but it is more toward racing (irl) ... fast and furious is more for the import market... vin diesel also has a real nice muscle car in XXX (hemi, if i remember correctly)... christine & maximum overdrive both are supposed to be scary and have cars... wish i could remember more, but i hope this helps a little :)

Ronin has kinda an autochase scene. Then there is the god awful 2fast 2 furious, and the even worse sequel.

Yep I tend to prefer the vintage stuff - real destruction is better than special FX. The Steven King movies wound up being more funny than scary - the killer coke machine in Max Overdrive is the funnyest thing I ever watched. Anybody seen Death Race 2000 ? - features Stalone and Carridine so bad it's funny !

Ohhhh Yeahhh, Deathrace, now that's a classic. Don't know if you can still find it ... maybe some do-good decided that its not PC these days.

I liked the chase scene in Ronin, as a matter of fact, thats the only part I have seen. Christine was good for the F/X, the 57 Plymouth that never dies!! And the chase in Bullit is a classic, as everyone knows. Other than that, thats about all I can recall. Mike
