my 78 Brat

Post by brat007 »

Hi all
Ive had an Svx for about 10 yrs now, and always have
something interesting.
I picked up a decent low mileage 78 Brat the other day.
Wild Yellow, factory paint still, even has AC.
Ill post some pics up tomorrow when I get some more.

SWEET [smilie=666.gif]

Definitely post pics. There are very few Baja's around here but no Brats at all.

I love the early brats. My family had two Subaru wagons when I was growing up, a '75 and and '78... same 70's style.

been cleaning up the car more..
runs great but needs a clutch, so started taking it
apart today. Wow, its a pretty huge job. Lots to take off.
Should have it done in a few days between daily bs .
While everythings off Im going to clean the piss out of it
so it looks as good underneath as it does on top :)
Cant wait to take it out for its maiden voyage of next week.
I need more room to keep all my car...
because when I run out, it comes to the alternative..
and end up selling some :(

Nice find! What are your plans for her? Daily driver, modified, restored?

Cool Brat! Like the push bar. Wonder where it was bought? I know that fellow scoobers have mentioned John Bloom, but I would like options.

the best I can tell, the pushbar skidplate combo
& stripe kit where
both dealer installed options.
It even had a set of dealer installed foglights at one
time. If you look at old original brochures, sometimes
they showed these items for sale in the back pages.
