Re: What did you do to your Baja today?

For LED replacement, I used these guys.

IIRC, the cargo light is the same as the brake light. I got one red for the third brake light and two white for the cargo. Don't trust my memory, though.

Missing on my 05, too. It's the drain so water doesn't make it to the carb.

Re: Got ripped off

First, you should have discussed the quote when you got it. "Does this include complete new calipers and pads but not rotors?" type of discussion so both of you know what will and won't be done. At this point, it's a matter of what was written on the quote and what was done. If the two don't match, ...

Re: Snug top hardware

Just post if you need any more measurements. I'm taking mine off right now to see if it's in need of any work, but that's a long, slow project. I was thinking it would be a pain to take off and replace, but it's like 5 minutes to pull the large piece off to haul something tall. It sounds like you ha...

This is my snuglid with gasket attached to the larger piece. I can't say this if factory, just how this one is.

Here's measurements on the cross bracket:

Where are you? Having another Baja to swap dipsticks with would be a good test.

Re: Snug top hardware

I don't think I'm understanding the question. There is a bracket under the front (smaller) section of the snuglid. It looks like a piece of sheet metal that spans the bed and has short ears that mount to the sides of the bed. The gasket is attached to the rear (larger) section of the snuglid. I have...

Re: Snugtop seals

I finally got around to taking my snuglid off to work on it. There's a local shop that makes gaskets and does hand cutting as needed. I'll post pics and tell them to keep a template in case there's orders from online. It may be a 'mail a check with your order' type thing, but it's a reliable shop I'...

Re: Garage Lighting

As far as using LEDs, I worked in a factory where we looked into replacing florescent and halogens with LED. We got one as a test and put it in a corner of the maintenance shop. The light was more diffuse than what we replaced - less shadows on what you have on the table. We did a cost analysis of r...

I would be interested in a price on the bed extender, if you decide to let it go.

Re: snug lid and bed extender

How hard was the snuglid to get off? Any tips?

Does the bed extender have mounting hardware?
