Re: Snug top hardware

Thanks greymud, I have printed out the specs from your posts and will proceed fabrication at a later date. My curiosity in finding an OEM cross member is simply to see what one REALLY looks like. Thanks again for the specs, im a lot closer to completion than I was a week ago. Dan Here's some info t...

Re: Snug top hardware

Great info from you guys. The t seal that I removed was glued to the bigger piece of the lid. It makes sense that it should be on the smaller lid. I've ordered one of the windshield seals, hopefully I can make it work. Still looking for an original though. The bracket is not a big thing but I'm det...

Re: MO: Garage Cleanout - Lots of Gen 3 parts

I actually have two, did you just want the one or both? I packed both before I realized the photos only showed the one.. so I'd let you have both shipped for 40 - that's USPS Ground, anything faster will be more. If you just want one, I'll see if I can find a smaller box, save some on the shipping....

Re: MO: Garage Cleanout - Lots of Gen 3 parts

Hi all, UPDATE - Most of the stuff is gone, list has been updated. Got a garage full of parts from a rebuild of a 2005 Baja Sport. We replaced the engine and other parts with one from a 2001 Legacy and have a bunch of stuff left over - lots of it should fit the Baja's. I believe the donor car had a...

Re: Snug top hardware

Sorry for the confusion. You did nail it about the piece of sheet metal though. That's the bracket I'm missing and wasn't sure what it was made of. Could not find the seal number you provided so the hunt goes on for a replacement. I came across the PDF of a snug top installation is the only way I k...

Baja A.R.E. Cap weight!

Does anyone out there know the actual weight of the Baja A.R.E. Cap?
Please don't respond with guesses or estimates. I need to know pretty much the exact weight within about 5 lbs.
Thank You!

Re: Auto trans gear shift knob removal?

Ha! I did have one on hand in the shop. Yes, it unscrews like a manual knob. I braced the box between knees and used channel locks. It was getting doubtful before it broke free. Crank away Hi Doc, You've been more than helpful by going out of your way to actually doing it. Many thanks for your help...

Re: Auto trans gear shift knob removal?

The AT shift selector rod is threaded at M10x1.25. (M12 for MT, if I recall correctly.) If the knob hasn’t been touched since it left the factory, it will take a bit of brute force. Since you are likely not going to save it as a trophy for display, I’d recommend grabbing a large pair of channel loc...

Auto trans gear shift knob removal?

Does anyone out there know how to remove the gear shift knob from a Baja Sport with an auto transmission. I don't like the gray molded plastic look. I got a knob from a Legacy wagon in a junkyard that has a "sewed on" black leather cover which looks much nicer and I want to use that one. The one fro...

Re: SnugTop lid mounting rails & parts

" The trick would be embedding the metal strip with the studs in each of them. That might be tricky." What do you mean; don't they just pop out like most regular gaskets? I haven't tried to remove mine yet. I just assumed that they were a slip fit over the fiberglass much like a regular rubber grom...

Re: SnugTop lid mounting rails & parts

YEP Hello again, Were you able to answer my other questions? I need a bunch of other measurements but I would need you to answer those questions first. Also, if I find a source for the 4 Rubber Roll Bar Seals , are you interested? Hello, I just came across this thread and I need the new rubber roll...
