Thanks for the pictures. It looks like it is all stock except for the coolant overflow tank, and intake/cold air. Any ideas what happened to the engine?
you mean HOT air restriction. lol that thing's pretty sad.

cool

Not a mod for the rust belt though. It'll work fine for a year but the nice clean threaded holes will turn to gaping rust cancer.

Missing on my 05, too. It's the drain so water doesn't make it to the carb.
What year is this?

It remains LOCKED or UNLOCKED While in the UNLOCKED position no key is necessary... operates normally
I think we're confused because you opened with a question and didn't say much. are you having an issue with your aftermarket tailgate lock or just showing off that you have added one?

Re: Oil level reading

Just to be sure we're on the same page (is the device plugged in and the power switch turned on...) because I don't know you or your car knowledge. Remember to let the oil settle a few minutes before checking it. Pull the dipstick clean it insert the dipstick read it When you have drained and filled...

Re: Got ripped off

Actually the parking brakes have less than normal drum brakes. think about it: normal drums have both the hydraulic operating parts and the parking cable parts. drum parking brake just has the parking brake parts. There are honest mechanics out there, there are straight up crooks, and there are many...

Re: what is my Baja worth?

I'll dissent: 15k is wishful thinking IMO unless you find someone with more money than brains. 60k miles is low but not "holy cow show car" low. excellent condition helps. low mileage is a wash because while the miles are low, the age is still the same and the fluids, belts, and hoses still need to ...

Re: Oil & coolant fluid change

The answer is exactly that: you have many options. Anything meeting specs is good enough. things exceeding specs are usually better. If you want to know the hows and whys head to https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ and have a look through their forum but be prepared for enough info and opinion to explod...

Re: Lurker that wanted a Baja turbo

I've been reading this site as well as others and Baja turbo vehicles appear to be a money pit. Oil has to be changed often, oil filter is a bad design and there is a bypass filter than can clog and ruin your engine and turbo. I have a 2016 Lincoln MKT twin turbo and makes 385 HP from 3.5 liter eng...

Re: Garage Lighting

What do you plan on doing in the garage? occasional oil change and swapping winter tires or serious repairs? Are the floor, walls, or ceiling painted? A white room needs less illumination than a dark colored one or one full of stuff. I have a dozen 4-tube fixtures and 3 2-tube fixtures in about a 2-...
