Re: Don't waste your money on these LED bulbs!

I've got them installed correctly. There's only one way the can go in. The Silverstars I had been using would cast at least 50 feet or more. I don't use Silverstar low beams. The only last about 3 months at the most. At $20 a pop they are not worth it. Don't take it as a deliberate knock on you, ju...

Re: Baja TBE solution

https://www.millerwelds.com/ There's nothing advertised as fitting the Baja turbo back because it takes DP and midpipe from othr cars but the axle-back is propiretary due to the length behind the axle. search button (or just reading) helps. similar issue: http://www.scoobytruck.com/bb/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Don't waste your money on these LED bulbs!

That's why it's best to stick with what the housing's designed for. The age old problem with retrofitting HIDs and LEDs is that the source of light is neither the same shape or in the same position as the optics are designed for so the reflected pattern is off. (that goes for reflector or projector ...

Re: Got my Baja stuck in the snow yesterday!

I've been stuck twice, both in my own yard. once was going through a shallow ditch at the wrong angle the other was in the rain and didn't realize I drove into a low spot. yes, different tires would help, yes snow tires would help a lot. There are two things that you can't get around though: a wall ...

Sorry, for the automatic on 2006 Baja sport. Pictures or diagram. thanks.
I mean what are you trying to learn from it? is it malfunctioning and you want to troubleshoot/fix it? do you want to swap it out for something else? just want to know how it works for the sake of knowing?

Re: 06 Baja sport

Not sure why you posted in the FS, I notified the mods to move it.

Of course you can use a full size tire as a spare.

As for fitting in the space under the bed, I haven't tried it myself but I've read you can.

Re: Hyundai Santa Cruz

One addition for any future compact trucks: make the bed fit a 4'x4' panel flat. that's the single most annoying thing about the baja is it cannot fit a 4' item lengthwise or widthwise. Just an inch or 2 short. Much like fitting a 4'x8' item in a full size truck, it's just a basic usefulness thing.

Re: using just key (no fob) without setting off alarm

Many modern cars (mid-90s and newer) do not support doing that. Even back in the early 90s, wireless encryption on fobs were more secure than key tumblers. If someone were to pick or overpower the tumbler or just short/clip wires to the switch then the alarm\immobilizer would be bypassed. tumblers k...

Re: Rear brake rotor install problem

Thanks! I think bearing would be noisier (but I’ll go listen on YouTube just in case). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Assume nothing. I've changed hundreds of bearings for my own and customer cars with symptoms all over the place: -humming and/or vibration at all speeds -humming and/or vibratio...

Re: Replacing the Baja radio.

The Baja radios aren't tied into anything in the car. In the 05-09 Legacy/Outback, and possibly so in the newer models, the radio on those models with Automatic Climate Control were tightly integrated into those controls, making replacement almost impossible. But on these older ones, it's a straigh...
