Re: Rear Cargo Light Modifications
Should just come off after you remove the 2 bolts at the bottom holding it in.

Re: Window motor compatability
Yeah, general rule of thumb on the Baja with regards to replacement parts- Everything from the rear axle forward is 00-04 Legacy/Outback with the exception of... the plastic lower body panels, front grille, and suspension parts... but they can be swapped the factory roof crossbars, bed trim/liner, a...

Re: Window motor compatability
Any other Baja model regardless of year or any 00-04 Legacy or Outback window motor will work since it's the exact same door parts.

Re: 2006 Baja Sport
Darn that sucks! Next likely culprit is probably the brake rotors or pads. Does your Baja feel like it's lurching or rumbling at all when you brake, both turning and straight? If yes, maybe it's a warped brake rotor.

Re: Rear Cargo Light Modifications
Simplest thing you could probably do is mount a small LED bar right below the cargo lamp on the plastic trim and splice it into the cargo lamp wire and delete the old halogen sockets or just rewire the cargo lamp switch to this new bar. Personally I think if you're going to do some light upgrades yo...

Re: Bed Step
Hey there. No such thing exists for the Baja, not even running boards (but they were on the prototype). The only thing I could suggest is maybe a trailer hitch step if your Baja is equipped with the optional trailer hitch. If it's not, the hitch can still be bought for around $200-$300 if you so des...

Re: Well, I'm back...
Welcome back! You clearly know what you're doing and I'm of no help with the technical aspects, but... One issue I've got is the stock intercooler has maybe 3 fins straight, every other fin is pretty badly mashed. Is there an FMIC option? I'm going to guess... "Whatever fits a 2004 Legacy" is going ...

Re: WANTED: Spare lift kit or cable for 2005 Baja
Hey there. I've never had to change a spare in my Baja... yet, so I'm not too familiar of how the system works, but from what I understand it's similar to the "suspended via pulley" system on most modern US trucks (which I have changed). That said, if I were in your shoes, I'd see if I could take th...

Re: Gauge Cluster
Press and hold the trip meter for about 2-3 seconds, does it reset the trip meter?
Just pushing it without holding it is supposed to switch it between the 2 saved trip meters (A and B). As far as I know twisting it does nothing.

Unlikely, and actually don't do this. (I've edited my previous post to reflect this after doing some more research on the subject)

Re: Gauge Cluster
Nope. If you replace the cluster it'll display the mileage from the donor car + whatever you drive on it post swap. EDIT: I wouldn't recommend adjusting it after looking into it further.

Re: No heat
What would u call the whole thing, HVAC Controller? Officially it's called the "Dash Control Unit", part #72311AE21A, but I just searched "Subaru Baja temperature control unit" and that's what popped up. Ones from the '00-'04 Legacies and Outbacks should fit too but will be black instead of silver....

Holy cow, would never have thought to check this.
If you don't feel like disassembling and fabbing, there's a few temp units on ebay for around $50.
Here's what it should look like though.
