Would it take a $ubaru dealer to make the adjustment?
Unlikely, and actually don't do this. (I've edited my previous post to reflect this after doing some more research on the subject)

Re: Gauge Cluster

Nope. If you replace the cluster it'll display the mileage from the donor car + whatever you drive on it post swap. EDIT: I wouldn't recommend adjusting it after looking into it further.

Re: No heat

What would u call the whole thing, HVAC Controller? Officially it's called the "Dash Control Unit", part #72311AE21A, but I just searched "Subaru Baja temperature control unit" and that's what popped up. Ones from the '00-'04 Legacies and Outbacks should fit too but will be black instead of silver....

Re: No heat

Holy cow, would never have thought to check this.
If you don't feel like disassembling and fabbing, there's a few temp units on ebay for around $50.
Here's what it should look like though.

Re: Newbie here with exhaust issues

Well being a Turbo definitely makes things more complicated. But fear not! The parts can be found... just not all in the same place or category. So, one thing to point out about the Baja Turbos: the entire drive train is identical to the Gen-2 Forester XT (2004-2007) drive train. As such, other part...

Re: Newbie here with exhaust issues

Hey there. Before we dive into this, is your 04 a Sport or Turbo? Rockauto has all the exhaust parts for the Sport, but not the Turbo. That said, if the Cats are not throwing codes, DO NOT REPLACE THEM!!!

Re: No heat

Just to get to the heater core is a PITA. Are the blowers still working? Could be just a blockage in one of the pipes.

Re: Hyundai Santa Cruz

From what I'm reading they're still planning to use the new 4-cyl diesel motor in it. If this is the case I can see this selling as well as the Tribeca (and admittedly the Baja) and running into the same problems: horsepower vs target market use, and fuel price. Around MD the new Ridgeline is sellin...

I bought the 2-axle pack from 1A, so it's #1AACS00011.

Re: Rear brake rotor install problem

Anybody found a PERFECT solution to this rear rotor issue? Get the dealership to do it. No joke, had my rotors and pads done a few years back at a local shop to save some money, but the brand new Moog rotors ground against the shields. So I bit the bullet and had the Subie dealership replace ...

Re: Super Confused!!!

Hey there, just a few questions so we can help diagnose: Is your Baja an NA or Turbo, and is it an Automatic or Manual? If turbo, the leak could be from the turbo oil feed line or possibly an early sign of the banjo bolt filter clogged. If it's a turbo, remove the banjo bolt filter ASAP if it hasn't...

Re: 2006 Baja Sport

It looks like you may have hit something, a rock or something like that at some point. I wonder if the clicking wasnt actually a bad CV joint, but the bent flange rubbing on your hub... That axle may possibly still be good (not that it matters). I still blame SHA. my tax dollars at work.JPG https:/...

Re: 2006 Baja Sport

Well, mechanic got the axles installed today. With the 20mi drive home I can say the popping sound is indeed gone (again). After getting home and taking a look at the older axles, it turns out the outer cv axle had failed with the boot intact. Here's some pics of the old OEM axle that failed with ju...
