Re: Tires. We all need em - Heres the Thread for em .

Hey Mike, what size grabbers is that? My tire guy is literally arguing against me that it won't fit, but I don't think he realizes how tall my 06 Baja actually is as compared to a normal subaru

found that thread, thanks a ton. How much did it end up costing total? I found a junked/part Baja with a manual transmission i'd probably be able to get everything from

Convert from Auto to Manual transmission

Hey guys, I got a 4 speed auto. I want to possibly change out the transmission to one of those 5 speed manuals. Is it possible? I was looking up some decent prices on used transmissions just wasn't sure if it'd be simaliar to trying to turbo an NA baja....just buy a Turbo. Thanks!

Parts that fit the Baja

I know this has been discussed multiple times but I'm having trouble finding info on the topics. I'm looking for parts such as a cold air intake, headers, downpipes, etc. for the Baja and there simply isn't much options specifically for the Baja. From what I've seen so long as it fits the 2.5L (2458...

Re: Sound from rear brake/rotor?

The brakes wouldn't be affected by the alignment....Just the tires.... Eh idk. I have a 4tunner whose alignment gets thrown off. When I take it down the mountain and I brake around turns, itll start to shudder when I brake next, like the alignment is off. Then on a straight away I'll apply the brak...

Re: Sound from rear brake/rotor?

Do you know what kind of pads they are? Some pads are just garbage pads that make noise no matter what you do.....the cheaper variety also do not stop very well.... possible. I just got it a couple weeks ago so I didn't install the passed so idk how good they. He didn't take the best care of everyt...

Sound from rear brake/rotor?

Hey guys, when I apply the brakes and the car slows down enough that outside noise/vibration doesn't muffle the noise, I can hear what almost sounds like my rotors rubbing in metal, yet there is no grinding or shuddering when I apply the brakes. The only real clue there is an issue is if you pick up...

Re: Problems after Performance Upgrades

Would installing new air intakes and an exhaust have the same results on an NA model?

Re: Saying goodbye to the '06 Baja...

I had this same conversation on the FB page. Cars require maintenance. Subaru 2.5 liter engines require head gaskets. It's a fact of life. And if you bought a 2.5 liter Subie without learning about head gaskets, then shame on you. It's been a problem since the late 90's. I know. I had one of those....

Re: The $70 tonneau cover

I know this is a mega bump, but this looks pretty cool. I want to try one. Was a little weary of it lacking a locking mechanism. Has anyone considered installing a type of rotating mechanism, or something along he lines of a door handle? Would love to figure it out. When I built mine, I did a lot o...

Re: Father looking to get Baja. Looking for info

I'll be picking up an 06 sport with 77k miles on it, next week! Thanks for this, it gives me an idea of what to look for. I'll also be having a mechanic taking a look before I pull the trigger. Hopefully I won't have to deal with any of the mentioned :D
