2016 Subaru Baja Meetup - May 15th - Scotia NY

A bunch of us are meeting up for the first time this spring on the 15th of May at 11:30. Just like 2014, we'll meet up at Jumpin Jacks in Scotia, Ny. Last year we had 11 Bajas. We hope to beat that this year.

*****CANCELLED******Northeast Baja Meet - Stowe, VT 5/3/15

The meet scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the Stoweflake Inn in Stowe, VT has been cancelled. Due to far too many Bajas on the disabled list, we're cancelling the meet and will rescheduled something in Western MA during the summer.

Re: Tires. We all need em - Heres the Thread for em .

I gave up trying to get "Ultra High Performance" All Seasons in the OEM size, and took the bait on 17's. ( my trucklet is not a substitute for a real truck, I have real trucks, it's more of a turbo AWD sports car). So I got the Kumho Ecsta 4X, an ok set of wheels, and by the time I got credit for m...

Re: Anyone here in the Central New York area?

We have a pretty active group of Baja owners here in the Capital Region (Capital Region Baja Owners - CaRBO). How far out of Albany are you? We are working on a meet up in Stowe, VT for the first weekend of May, but we also get together locally.

Re: baja seats

There was a guy over on the Baja FB page selling his complete set of Black vinyl/gray cloth seats. He had them professionally cleaned and the photos looked good!

Re: Bed Covers

I have the factory hardcover on the Baja. It's not waterproof, but as mentioned by others, I do the Tetris method of loading the bed with plastic tubs. Works great for our trips. I have also had the Rubbermaid storage container up against the cab and loved it! http://www.walmart.com/ip/Rubbermaid-48...

Did the kit with my last Baja and it only lasted through the winter. This spring when I do it, I'll be sure to seal it right away!

Re: A few questions you all may be able to help with.

I'll be ordering the Turbo version in a couple of weeks. Bought my latest Baja with 106K miles on it and it needs ALL that service. It will be worth it though! :D

Re: No more Baja...

I had wondered how she made out, Glad you kept it in the Subie family. Looks like a nice beast. At least you still have that other beautiful turbo in the family!

It looks like the fuel filler door on the Baja made an effort to jump off like they seem to do!

Re: Tri-State  Nj/Pa/Ny

Upstate NY....about an hour west of Albany. Just signed for a 2005 Baja Turbo in black today. Desperately wanted a 5 spd, but could not find one that didn't have a ton of mileage, so settled for the auto. Take delivery next Saturday.....cannot wait!

Re: In Niskayuna NY, Outside Albany

Hey Niskayuna! I'm about to join the Baja Brigade (have wanted one for about 10 years). Just signed all the papers today on a 2005 Baja Turbo - Black. Wanted a 5 spd, but could only find an automatic. I'm about 1 hour west of Albany, so will be watching out for you when I'm in Capitaland. Picking up...
