Re: NYS Capital Region Baja Owners Club Spring Meet - May 20th - Thacher State Park

I'll be there. Got major work planned for the Baja at some point this year, but I can get the meet done before I take her off the road.

Re: Diagnostics Connector for '05 Baja ABS System

My ABS light is still on. Found that aforementioned ABS plug, but the pins are different. Might be a model year thing... mine's an '06. Tried grounding out each pin, and did everything from blowing fuses to blowing the horn. Didn't get an ABS code, though. I'll pony up and hit my local garage for th...

Re: Class 3 hitch??

The only one I'm aware of is the "Mudrat" rear bumper. Haven't looked far for one, though, on account of me having one already.

Fuel Trim Discussion

Ran across this in my travels trying to diagnose that pesky P0420 code. Thought it worth bringing up to the table: http://longislandcatalytic.com/understa ... uel-trims/

Double check the year, but this is the t-belt kit I just ordered for my '06: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TU ... UTF8&psc=1

Price ain't bad. Warm weather needs to get here soon, so I can put it on without freezing my fingers off.

Re: OEM Wiring Harness w/ Aftermarket Fog Lights

Looks like the original fog light circuit uses a relay; the aftermarket light kit includes two relays. I'll use one of them for the driving light circuit. I like how you ran the wiring through the rail. John Bloom had built up a rack that I've since sold off, but I kept the wiring harness and lights...

Re: OEM Wiring Harness w/ Aftermarket Fog Lights

Ah... there's our confusion. I'm going to be mounting these down low, not on the crossbars. I've got a Mudrat bumper, and the original fog lights are missing. Wiring is still there, but the lights are gone. I live right off a river, so fog is prevalent in my area... and I love driving in snow storms...

Re: OEM Wiring Harness w/ Aftermarket Fog Lights

Ah... that makes sense. I can tap into that yellow accessory line at the fusebox for power to the switch in the dash, and I won't be relying on some cob job piggyback off another accessory line. I can still run the "main" power for the driving lights off its own circuit and wire the fog lights up to...

Where 'bouts are you? And do you have someone to perform a swap for you? Figured if you were asking the question, you wouldn't be swapping it yourself.

OEM Wiring Harness w/ Aftermarket Fog Lights

TL;DNR: Anyone have an idea what the stock wiring harness for the fog lights is rated for, current-wise? Just picked up a set of Hella Optilux 2020's. Comes with both a set of fog and driving lamps, built into the same lens assembly. I'd like to use my stock fog lamp switch to activate the fog lamps...

Re: Grabber AT2 in the snow?

Yep. I'm running 215/65R16's, off the top of my head. I've got a two inch lift installed, so the tires clear without a problem. No rubbing at all. Performance... they've put up with my dry & wet road antics well enough, but I'm driving a NA Baja. The most I can hope for is some spirited cornering :l...

Re: Scary Seller.. I hate these guys...

Just hit up Aquadro11's eBay site. Shady as all... Well, you know. Had a buddy that bought a used car in CT. Didn't qualify for the no lemon law, was $5 too cheap. Dealer told him to stuff it after it died on the drive home. I will not buy a used car from CT, unless it's from Paul "Moosens" on the U...

ABS

tl;dnr: Anybody have any luck pulling ABS codes on an '06 yet? For those who like to read: Spent Sunday replacing the O2 sensor & driver's side valve cover gasket, and cleaned out my PCV. I've also had some difficulty with a small leak in the passenger footwell when parking on a slight uphill inclin...

Re: Any problems with your Baja????

Onyx threw a P0420 code within the last week. Spark plugs were overdue for a change. Changed 'em. I had slapped on cheap aftermarket plug wires soon after buying her. Exchanged them for NGK. Code resolved. 8) Update: Code came back a few days later. Ordered a downstream O2 sensor... a couple days of...
